Dumpster Diving For Coupons

Dumpster Diving For Coupons

Dumpster Diving For Coupons isn't as bad as it sounds. Don't get me wrong there are some who will go to any Extreme to get coupons but honestly crawling inside a clean recycling dumpster isn't all that bad truthfully. I have found that many times you can talk to your local recycling Center and actually get permission to do this. In fact in some places I have talked to people who have actually set up on recylcing day at the center collecting coupon inserts in exchange for volunteering to help people with their reyclables. If you are able to do something like this and can score tins of coupons then you will have a huge stockpile n no time if you play your cards right.

Extreme Couponing - The Basics

Here we will cover the basic things you will need to get started with Extreme Couponing .

Extreme couponing is not hard to do , however it can be time consuming putting together your shopping trips. It is best to double check and triple check everything before you head to the grocery store. You will need 2 basic things before you can shop and that is coupons (obviously) and a coupon matchup. So let's look at these two things and how we will use them to go Extreme Couponing.

Coupons - Sounds simple doesn't it. Well we don't need just any coupons, we need coupons that match this week's sale so that we can score some really cheap or free items right? So where do we find our coupons? For starters you will want to check The Coupon Database . This will tell us where to find the coupons such as in Sunday Inserts, Printable coupons etc. Now if these are insert coupons and we do not have the inserts you can search Google for Coupon Clippers or even check Ebay.

Coupon Matchup - The coupon matchup is how we figure our deals. Basically we will take our stores flyer and search the Coupon Database listed above to find coupons that match the items that are on sale. This is the part that is time consuming. We can spend hours working on a matchup and gathering coupons. Most people will take the items they are going to buy and enter them into a spreadsheet listing the following.

Item     How many      Sale Price        Coupon  Value         Price after coupon   Total price

With the basic spreadsheet layout above we can figure out our total Out Of Pocket we are going to be spending. You can add more columns if you wish such as retail price and total savings.
